I never thought I'd want a herding breed, even though many of my closest friends have been involved in Australian Shepherds for over a decade. Looks like I was wrong. Peekaboo is from my dear friend Kelly Smith of Scarlet Oak Australian Shepherds. Peekaboo is from the 'Oo' litter. She was a surprise puppy born many hours after her siblings, so we thought Peekaboo would be the perfect 'oo' name for her. I fell in love with her the moment I saw her and was fortunate enough to watch her grow from day 2. I had no intention of getting her but when two show homes backed out on her, through no fault of her own, it was like the stars aligned and I knew it was meant to be. Fortunately, Kelly agreed and sold her to me as a show prospect.

Having an Aussie is a lot different from owning Amstaffs. She's funny, smart, affectionate like the Amstaffs but she's a busybody, too smart for her own good, gets into mischief. She's got an outstanding temperament and out of one of my favorite Aussies Kelly has bred. I hope she becomes a star as we show her, she's already learning the ropes as a young pup and won a UKC Best Puppy in Show at just 5 months and placed 1st in 3-6 month puppy in ASCA!
